If you think it's expensive to hire a professional, wait until you hire an amateur

Here are some examples of bad decorating I came across at a house I visited for a quote recently.

I wanted to share these images to show that although everybody believes they can paint, it's not as easy as you might think to get a professional finish. Often, it's the small details that make the difference between a bad job and a good job and too many homeowners won't know the difference until they've seen what a real professional can achieve.

I often come across scenes like this when the homeowner, or previous homeowner, have tried their hand at DIY painting, believing they are saving money by doing the work themselves; but so often they end up hiring a professional anyway and it costs them more money, time and hassle in the long run.

Don't be tempted to "have a go" yourself if you're not confident and experienced. Get a professional in from the start and get the finish your home deserves! Book a Henry Fix quote for your next decorating job.
